Sensei Yoshinobu Ohta
Chief instructor to the JKAE
Born in Japan, Sensei Ohta attended the famous JKA Instructors course in Tokyo. Sensei Ohta was Master Enoeda’s assistant in the UK from 1983 to 2003. It was during this time he gained an international reputation for being one of the most technically skilled JKA instructors. He teaches at all national courses and teaches abroad, as well as at his own clubs in London.
The JKAE runs courses and examinations specifically for their instructors that gives a thorough insight into concepts of karate, and the teaching of karate. Instructors attend these courses - usually in autumn, and after intensive study take examinations the following spring.
These courses ensure the highest quality of instruction you can expect from JKA-England clubs.
